The Honor of Your Presence: Clinton County Wedding Heirlooms ExhibitThe Honor of Your Presence: Clinton County Wedding Heirlooms ExhibitThe Clinton County Historical Association (CCHA) will host a special opening celebration of “The Honor of Your Presence,” a new bridal exhibit launching on Thursday, July 24 at 5:30 pm at the CCHA Museum, located at 98 Ohio Avenue in Plattsburgh, NY.

This beautifully curated exhibit features over a century of wedding traditions through gowns, accessories, and heirloom items contributed by local families. Each piece tells a unique love story and offers a glimpse into the changing styles and cultural moments that have shaped North Country weddings over time.

Guests at the July 24 event will enjoy a ribbon-cutting ceremony, light refreshments, and the opportunity to meet the designers and curators behind the scenes. The exhibit includes interactive elements and vintage photo backdrops.

“This collection not only showcases the beauty of bridal fashion, but also reflects the personal histories of families in our region. It’s an opportunity to connect with our past in a deeply meaningful way,” Director of the Clinton County Historical Association Helen Nerska said.

“Each gown tells a story — not just about the bride, but about the time and place in which she lived,” added Randi Christodoulou, Lead Exhibit Designer and CCHA Board Member. “Our goal was to create a space where guests could feel transported — through fabric, tradition, and love.”

Admission to the opening night is free. The exhibit will remain on display through the summer of 2026, with seasonal programming, guided tours, and photo rental options for engaged couples or newlyweds.
