Introduction
The Redmi Note 14 4G might seem like an oddball, but once you get to know it, it begins to make perfect sense. Xiaomi has been making bestsellers for the budget segment for years and the Note 14 4G is the maker’s entry for the €200 class.
While the Redmi Note 14 5G offers higher performance and better connectivity at about €300, here we get a thoughtful feature downsacaling at an even lower price. The 4G model loses the HDR10 video support, the OIS for the primary camera, the ultrawide camera, and the 5G support, obviously, but it retains the Redmi Note essentials for a solid midrange experience.
The Redmi Note 14 4G has the same design as the Redmi Note 14 5G and comes with an IP54 rating for splash resistance. It offers a similar 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate.
The Helio G99 Ultra chipset is a popular 4G choice in this price range and should offer satisfactory performance; it is also an upgrade over the Redmi Note 13’s Snapdragon 685.
The Redmi Note 14 4G has three cameras on the back – a 108MP primary, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor (if we can even count this one). There is no optical stabilization for the main camera as on the Redmi Note 14 5G, and the 8MP ultrawide camera that was available on the Redmi Note 13 4G is now gone. Bummer!
The selfie camera has been upgraded with a 20MP sensor. And speaking of upgrades, the stereo speakers now support Dolby Atmos enhancement.
The battery capacity has been increased on the Redmi Note 14 4G up to 5,500mAh. The charging power remains the same at 33W.

Overall, the Redmi Note 14 4G is a minor update over the Redmi Note 13 4G with a slightly faster processor, a larger battery, a better selfie camera and improved screen protection. But even if it is not a major update that will make Note 13 users jump ship, the phone still makes for a great-looking budget offer.
