Trekking Through The Catskills in the Late 18th Century

As part of the Wild Saturday presentations at Woodchuck Lodge, in Roxbury, in Delaware County, NY, historian and regular New York Almanack contributor Ron Knapp will present “Trekking Through The Rugged Catskills in the Late 18th Century” on August 2nd, at 11 am.
Knapp’s illustrated talk deals with New Englanders who trekked through the Catskills to central New York’s “wilderness.” He is is the co-author of Theodore Burr and the Bridging of Early America in which the Catskills and a noted expert in early timber and covered bridges. He is a Professor Emeritus at SUNY New Paltz.
This free program will take place at Woodchuck Lodge, 1633 Burroughs Memorial Road in Roxbury, NY.
