The Shaker Museum in Chatham, NY has announced the Claudia Gould has been named Executive Director.
“Claudia is a dynamic leader with years of strategic experience at some of our nation’s most well-regarded cultural institutions, most recently the Jewish Museum in New York City,” chair of the museum’s Board of Directors Paul Cassidy said in an email announcing the selection.
“Throughout her career, she’s been a catalyst for curatorial risk-taking and visionary leadership—expanding audiences, generating new revenue streams, and pushing the boundaries of what museums can do, both curatorially and in the community,” Cassidy said.
“She has not only elevated the institutions she’s served but reimagined what’s possible for cultural organizations in changing times. In this new role at Shaker Museum, she joins a passionate, committed staff doing exceptional and innovative work.”
