Putnam History Museum Appoints New Executive Director

The Putnam History Museum Board of Trustees has announced Kevin Price will be the new Executive Director of the Putnam History Museum in Cold Spring, Putnam County, NY.
Price succeeds Interim Executive Director Kara Mattsen, PHM Education and Public Programming Manager, who assumed the role in November of last year following the departure of Cassie Ward.
Price has decades of experience in leadership and management across the private, quasi-governmental, and nonprofit sectors.
Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the U.S. Hunter Jumper Association, a national equestrian sport and education association based in Lexington, Kentucky. Previously, he served as the CEO of the U.S. Pony Clubs, Inc., a national youth equestrian education-based organization, and was also the Executive Director of the Chenango-Delaware-Otsego Workforce Investment Board in New York State from 2001 to 2011.
He has also served on boards and committees of national not-for-profits, regional and county economic development entities, and was a founding member of a regional Young Professionals Organization and STEM Leadership Council. Price holds a BS in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and Political Science from SUNY Oneonta and an MPA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Albany, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
The Putnam History Museum is in Cold Spring, NY, in the former school building of the historic West Point Foundry. The mission of the Putnam History Museum is to collect, preserve, interpret, and present the history of Putnam County, Philipstown, the West Point Foundry, and the Hudson Highlands.
