Omar Courtz, De La Rose Collabs

“So many people didn’t believe me, they said I was a little crazy,” he tells Rolling Stone of EP opener “Loco”
After introducing himself on Quién es Dei V? and joining Bad Bunny on Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Dei V is ready for a new stage. Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal the track list for the Puerto Rican star’s surprise EP, Los Flavorz, out this Friday.
The seven-track EP features songs “Toa” featuring De La Rose, which he says reminds him of Rihanna‘s sound, and “Amber” with Omar Courtz, who also joined him on the Bad Bunny DTMF track “Veldá.” Dei V taps Puerto Rican rapper Clarent on “Lollipop,” which he made thinking of the “early music that got me trending.” He explains, “It’s my essence and what Dei V is known for. We hit the nail on the head with this one,” he says. “It is such a vibe in Puerto Rico and I think I did it right.”
Dei V opens the EP with “Loco,” a song he wrote with the naysayers who doubted him early in his career in mind. “So many people didn’t believe me, they said I was a little crazy. And now that crazy boy is taking care of his family with music,” he tells Rolling Stone.
Toward the end of the project, he taps into classic reggaeton with “Quiere.” “I wanted a reggaeton song on the album and it was a perfect album,” he says. “We made ‘Quiere’ from scratch in the studio. We made the rhythms and melodies from zero.”
Dei V also includes the single “Sirena” on Los Flavorz. He had a massive 2024 thanks to songs like “Narcotics” with Bryant Myers and “Trending Remix” with Myke Towers, which he included on his second album, Quién es Dei V? The musician is set to tour the new EP with a 10-date run with stops in Atlanta, Miami Beach, New York, and Los Angeles.
