Need to have that little beef

Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin have shared a close bond since they first linked up on the Iowa Hawkeyes, helping the program go to two national championship games while forming a terrific friendship that is still going strong.
Talking with David Eickholt of CBS Sports, Clark touched on Martin’s early success with Laces on Unrivaled while sharing her plans for a future reunion.
“I think people are just seeing her confidence grow and grow. I’m really happy for her and hopefully, I can recruit to the Fever somehow, someway one day, who knows. I’m gonna try to figure that out. It’s my goal at some point in my career,” Clark said.
They are 3-0 after beating Vinyl 83-79 on Friday to extend their unbeaten run in the early stages of the competition.
When Eickholt noted they might perform better going against each other than as teammates, Caitlin Clark agreed.
“That’s true. We need to have our little beef and our little battle, so we might actually keep her away from us, just so we can keep going at it,” she added.
