Motorola unveils Moto G15, G15 Power and Moto G05 with big batteries
Motorola unveiled three new additions to its Moto G lineup today. The Moto G15 and Moto G15 Power and Moto G05 are entry-level phones with big batteries as their key selling point. They are also the first Moto G devices to run Android 15 out of the box.
Moto G15 and Moto G15 Power
The two Moto G15 phones share most of their hardware, except for the battery. The Power variant features a 6,000 mAh pack, while the G15 has 5,200 mAh capacity.
It makes the G15 Power slightly thicker (8.8 mm vs 8.2 mm) and heavier (203g vs 190g), but aside from these changes, everything else is the same between the duo.
Both phones feature a 6.72″ LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a punch hole for the 8 MP selfie camera. There are two cameras on the back – 50 MP main and 5 MP ultrawide.
The Moto G15 and G15 Power both have the Helio G81 chipset, an LTE-only platform with a 2 GHz octa-core CPU and 4 GB RAM. Storage options are 128, 256, and 512 GB, and a microSD slot provides even more space for files.

The phones do have a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio and NFC, and even support dual SIM cards. There are three color options: Gravity Gray, Iguana Green, and Sunrise Orange. All three have a vegan leather panel on the back.
Moto G05
The Moto G05 shares the Helio G81 chipset and footprint with the Moto G15, along with the 8.2 mm thickness (it’s a gram lighter though at 189g). Its LCD is slightly smaller at 6.67″ LCD and of lower HD+ resolution. There’s still a punch hole for the 8 MP selfie camera.
This phone also has two cameras on the back, and Motorola brought a more straightforward design of the camera island. The main cam has another 50 MP sensor, but instead of ultrawide you get a rather useless auxiliary sensor.
The G05 has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Like the G15 duo, it supports dual SIM and micro SD cards. It is rated IP54 and has NFC (only in some regions), a 3.5 mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.4.
Color options here are either Forest Green or Plum Red.
Motorola has yet to share any details about pricing or launch dates. It did confirm that the phones will arrive in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific, though.
