The Mohawk Valley Latino Association invites the public to a special event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and fostering cultural exchange in the Mohawk Valley. The celebration will be held on September 20 from 1 until 3 pm at the Oneida County History Center, located at 1608 Genesee Street in Utica, NY.
This event is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the rich contributions of Latino culture.
The celebration will feature special guest Daina Gonzalez, a talented children’s author dedicated to creating inspiring narratives for young readers. A devoted mother of three and grandmother of ten, her stories encapsulate themes of life, family, and the wonders of nature. Outside of her writing, she enjoys hiking, RVing, and exploring.
This program is free and open to all. Bring your family and friends. Light refreshments will be served. It will take place in the History Center’s main gallery.
The Mohawk Valley Latino Association (MVLA) works to improve the standards of living for all residents of the Mohawk Valley through various services that will educate and empower them.
The organization’s goal is to achieve awareness amongst the different cultures of the Mohawk Valley and help shape the minds of our youth and demonstrate to them the incredible opportunities available within the Mohawk Valley and our nation.

Oneida County History Center is a private 501(c) (3) not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to preserving the history, heritage, and culture of the Greater Mohawk Valley for present and future generations.
