Lake George Journey: An Alphabet Adventure Book Launch and Exhibition

Lake George Journey - An Alphabet AdventureLake George Journey - An Alphabet AdventureLake George Journey: An Alphabet Adventure, is, in the author’s words, an “alphabetical exploration” of all the region has to offer. Written by Tamara Jacobi and Walter Wright, the book features stories that entertain and fun facts that educate.

Family and friends contributed memories and observations of life on Lake George.

Illustrators Shaundra Bartlett, Kathy Becker, Shay DeRusso, Ottavia Huang, Wendy Soliday, and Andrew Thompson interpreted the stories from A to Z with illustrations that feature hidden imagery to engage young readers.

The original illustrations will be on view in the Courthouse Gallery of The Lake George Arts Project from Friday, August 15th through Monday, September 1st. A Book Launch and Artist’s Reception will be held there on Friday, August 15th between 4 and 6 pm.

The authors and illustrators will present their work with short readings, books and art will be available for purchase, and there will be a book giveaway. Children will enjoy art activities and an I-Spy game in the gallery.

On Sunday, August 17th, families are invited to Sunday Arts between 1 and 4 pm to enjoy a gallery visit with stories and an illustration project to take home. This all ages event is free of charge.
