Kate Middleton continues to shine.
In an effort to be there for grieving Lady Gabriella Windsor, whose husband Thomas Kingston died by suicide earlier this year, the Princess of Wales kindly extended an invitation to help plan her annual Christmas carol concert.
Middleton, 42, reached out to Lady Gabriella, 43, over the summer after news emerged that her husband, whom she wed in 2019, died in Gloucestershire, England, in February. He was 45.
Princess Catherine had asked Lady Gabriella to help with selecting the musical performances at this year’s “Together at Christmas” extravaganza, hosted by the princess on Dec. 6 and set to air on Christmas Eve.
It was reported that Lady Gabriella, who is the daughter of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, was touched that the beloved royal had asked her to take part in the planning.
In fact, Gabriella was said to be a “real member of the carol service team” given her past experiences as a singer-songwriter.
Lady Gabriella “enjoyed her role within the service and was excited to be a part of it,” a source told the Daily Mail, while Middleton was “incredibly grateful for her contribution.”
“She was very touched and grateful to the Princess to be asked to contribute to her very special concert. She felt honored,” the insider added.
Lady Gabriella ultimately invited singer Gregory Porter and pianist Rosey Chan to perform at the festive concert. A poem was read out by Tony winner Sophie Okonedo.
In addition to leading the selection process of performers, Lady Gabriella engaged Restore the Music, a nonprofit organization supporting music education for the youth.
The jazz ensemble performed while guests entered Westminster Abbey ahead of the service.
Before this year’s event, Princess Catherine — who revealed in September she completed chemotherapy and is now cancer-free — extended an invitation to people who have made a difference in their communities.
The palace previously said that Middleton “wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need — individuals who have inspired, counseled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive.”
It is Princess Catherine’s fourth time staging the annual Christmas carol service, which was attended by more than 1,600 invitees this year.
