Jisoo Explores Her Feelings in Explosive Video for ‘Earthquake’

The song comes off the Blackpink singer’s debut mini album Amortage, out today

Jisoo has released a dynamic music video for her single “Earthquake,” which arrives alongside her new mini album, Amortage. The slick clip, directed by Christian Breslauer, see Jisoo grappling with her emotions as things literally explode around her.

Amortage marks the Blackpink member’s most comprehensive solo work yet. It features two English and two English/Korean language tracks.

“My debut mini album Amortage is finally here,” Jisoo said in a statement. “It is a collection of stories about love – the highs, the lows and everything in between. I poured my heart into this project and I’m so excited to share it with you all. Thank you, Blinks, for your endless love and support. This one’s for you!”

Jisoo first teased Amortage earlier this year with a teaser depicting an ECG graphic of a heartbeat. The project will mark her first release since making her solo debut in 2023 with Me, the double-single that included “Flower” and “All Eyes on Me.”

“I’m not sure how much I want to go solo yet,” Jisoo told Rolling Stone in 2022. “The music I listen to, the music I can do, and the music I want to do — what should I choose? I love songs with lots of instruments. I love different bands and rock music. What do people want from me? There’s a chaos of conflicting questions. So I’m still tilting my head in confusion. I’m not sure what will happen with my solo plans this year.”

Last month, Jisoo announced she had signed to global deal with Warner Records for her solo music. “I feel like I’m just getting started and I’d like to thank the Blinks for all of their love and support,” she said in a press release. “This is just the beginning and I’m thrilled to kick off this seismic moment with Warner Records.”
