Huawei Mate XT owners to get free screen replacement for first year

Huawei officially introduced the tri-fold Mate XT Ultimate to international markets at a steep price of €3,500. A significant drawback of this smartphone is the exposed section of the foldable panel near one of the hinges. However, the company has announced it will provide a free screen replacement for the first year, regardless of the reason for the damage.
The confirmation came from Huawei executives, who we met following the official global debut of the phone in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate features a tri-foldable LTPO OLED display crafted by BOE. In its tablet configuration, the screen measures 10.2 inches diagonally. When the leftmost section is folded back, it shrinks to 7.9 inches, and in its fully folded position, it transforms into a 6.4-inch smartphone.
The global unit features 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The phone measures just 3.6 mm when unfolded, which is a truly impressive feat.
We played with the Mate XT in the Malaysian capital and gathered some camera samples, available here. While camera performance wasn’t the primary focus for Huawei’s designers when creating this premium device, it’s encouraging to see its capabilities meet high standards, especially considering its steep price tag.
