Honor Alpha Plan was introduced on Sunday, and now we learn more details from the company about its plans in the world of AI.
James Li, CEO of Honor, attended two panels at MWC 2025 at which he revealed the company will push for open collaboration in artificial intelligence. He also talked about a recently published white paper on protecting user data and the five principles his company intends to follow.
The Honor executive pointed out that the world is moving into a physical AI era. The industry needs to cooperate and co-create a platform for a wider range of devices that should simplify daily tasks.
For example, phones seamlessly connecting to vehicles and homes and wearables providing personalized health insights are some steps in the right direction. This would require “unified AI connectivity standards and solutions”, James Li added.
The protection of user data is a major concern in the era of AI, and Honor is addressing this issue with its five principles – data minimization, sensitive data on-device protection, on-device processing first, data desensitization and encryption before uploading to cloud, data deletion after use.
This all sounds great in theory, but only time will tell whether it will go beyond the discussion halls at congress centers.
