On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the streets of Brooklyn’s officially recognized Little Haiti District will come alive with vibrant music, colorful floats, and the energy of the 6th Annual Haitian Cultural Day Parade.
A lively procession of performances, floats, marching bands, and costume ensembles will fill the streets as the Haitian Culture Day Parade kicks-off at 11 am at the intersection of Toussaint L’Ouverture Boulevard (Nostrand Avenue) and Pierre Toussaint Boulevard (Church Avenue). From there, the parade will wind through the heart of Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean and Little Haiti Brooklyn, continuing toward Flatbush/Nostrand Junction (Hillel Plaza) where it ends at 1 pm.
Haitian Culture Day Festivity takes place at Hillel Place Plaza at the Flatbush Junction. This family-friendly event is free and offers a variety of activities and entertainment for people of all ages. The day features live musical performances, dancing, celebrity appearances, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.
DJ Hard Hittin Harry will host the the festival from noon until 5 pm with live music including a headlining performance by the internationally renowned Konpa band T-Vice and the fresh, high-energy Raboday performer AndyBeatz, in addition to local cultural showcase performances, art, open mic sessions, and dance. There will also be traditional Haitian and Caribbean cuisine, local vendor stalls, and community resource booths.
This event draws over 10,000 attendees annually and is a celebration of Haitian heritage and culture, creating a shared space for residents and visitors alike to experience the rich traditions of the Haitian and larger Caribbean diaspora.
May is recognized as Haitian Heritage Month in New York State and the Haitian Culture Day Parade is an acknowledgment of the resilience, history, and contributions of the Haitian-American community in New York.
The event is presented by Life of Hope (Ayiti Nou La Toujou).
