Edits Gets Improved Music Discovery, Improved Keyframe Editing and More

The updates keep on coming for Meta’s video editing app “Edits,” with the tool getting three new features to help creators customize and maximize their video content.
First off, Edits is getting a new royalty-free music discovery option, which will make it easier to find music that you can use (without losing monetization) to accompany your clips.

As you can see in this example, the new listing is being added to the existing music discovery element, with creators now able to switch over to the “Royalty free” tab to select from a listing of tracks that they can use without licensing.
Which will save you headaches if you want to promote your posts, as you won’t have to re-create them without commercial music.
Edits is also adding a new keyframe editing feature for more precise editing.

As you can see in these example screens, the updated keyframe editing display will make it easier to apply stickers, text and cutouts with precision, providing more creative options within your process.
Edits added keyframe editing last month, which enables you to hone in on more specific elements in video playback.
The updated keyframe editing options are being rolled out on iOS only at this stage.
And finally, Edits is getting another 10 new voice effects, so you can make yourself sound like a ghost, a robot, and more.

Edits also expanded its voice effects back in May as well, with these new options giving you more creative considerations for your video clips.
It’s been pretty interesting to see how Edits continues to add more features and options, which Meta did pledge to do at launch. Though social apps claim a lot of things when they first release a product, so the fact that Meta has followed through on this, and released weekly feature updates for the app, is significant.
Of course, video is the best-performing content type across both Facebook and Instagram, so it makes sense for Meta to encourage more video posting where it can. And definitely, Edits will help in this respect, with a growing array of creative options that can help more people create interesting, engaging video content.
These updates are available in the latest version of the Edits app.
