Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Karley Swindel reveals her makeup must-haves for game days

From commanding the field to fronting a fashion campaign.

The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders recently teamed up with Rent the Runway on an empowering holiday initiative celebrating the team’s strength, passion and personal stories.

In the ads, America’s Sweethearts pose in a curated collection of Rent the Runway’s party-ready pieces, all in the team’s color palette of silver, blue and white — a festive and formal complement to their iconic starry vests and hot pants.

“I will never forget the day I finally got to try on the DCC uniform,” Karley Swindel, who joined the team in 2022, tells Page Six Style exclusively, calling the moment “life-changing.”

“I remember seeing myself in the mirror for the first time in the uniform and feeling an overwhelming sense of pride, happiness and gratitude. I worked so hard to put my hands on that fabric and I couldn’t believe I was one of the few lucky girls who even had the privilege to try it on. Seeing the uniform hanging in my closet never gets old!”

Describing herself as “a small-town girl” who’s “the ultimate Southern belle of the team,” Swindel recalls feeling intimidated by how stylishly the upper vets were dressed at first.

“With time, I have finally grown into my skin and have learned to embrace the type of clothing I truly enjoy that makes me feel my best,” she says. “The team has not changed my personal style. It has only enhanced it!”

“I am a sucker for pieces of fashion that are timeless,” says Swindel, pointing to this “classy” and “elegant” tweed mini as one of her personal favorites from Rent the Runway.

Swindel’s also mastered the art of long-wearing (and great-looking) makeup since joining the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders — a must for long days spent high-kicking and jump-splitting under the scorching Texas sun.

“Between having naturally oily skin and performing for several hours, I have had to search long and hard for the right products that can survive game days. After three years on the team, I have finally found a makeup routine that works really well for my skin,” she shares.

Below, Swindel breaks down her tried-and-true makeup must-haves.
