Condo at 111 West 57th Street Leads Manhattan’s Luxury Market Again
Another condo at JDS Development and Property Markets Group’s 111 West 57th Street snagged the top deal inked in Manhattan last week.
Unit 42 at the Billionaires’ Row tower, asking $22.5 million, was the priciest of 23 contracts signed for homes in the borough asking $4 million or more between Aug. 11 and Aug. 17, according to Olshan Realty’s weekly report. The pending deal marks the ninth time this year that a condo at the building claimed the first or second spot in the report.
The 4,500-square-foot apartment initially asked $27.5 million when the developers began marketing units off of floor plans in 2016. The full-floor unit has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a great room with views of Central Park.
Amenities at the building, where 49 of its 60 units have closed for an average of $4,500 per square foot, include a fitness center, padel court, pool, terrace and private dining room.

The second most expensive property to find a buyer was a townhouse on the Upper West Side, with an asking price of $10 million. The home at 330 West 88th Street, which hit the market in February, spans 7,000 square feet and has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The six-story townhouse last traded for $4.5 million in 2022, and the seller spent more than two years gut renovating it. The 18-foot-wide home also features an elevator, garden, two terraces and a gym in the basement.
Sotheby’s International’s Jaime Richichi had the listing.
The total number of contracts signed last week was on par with the previous period, which logged 22 inked deals. Of the properties to find buyers, 15 were condos, four were co-ops, one was a condop and three were townhouses.
The homes’ combined asking price was $149 million, for an average price of $6.5 million and a median of $5.4 million. The typical home spent more than two years on the market and was discounted 11 percent from the original listing price.
