CAD renders for the Google Pixel 10 show a third camera, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL also with three

Here is the next generation of Google’s “visor” design for its smartphones – and yes, it is exactly the same as the Pixel 9 generation. Here are CAD-based renders for the main trio that were created by @OnLeaks and Android Headlines. Note that there are no renders for the next Pixel Fold yet, but based on these three, we don’t expect any surprises.

Starting with the Google Pixel 10, dimension data extracted from CAD shows the same 6.3” screen diagonal and the same physical dimensions: 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6mm, plus 3.4mm for the camera island.

Okay, it’s not exactly the same, it is 0.1mm thicker than the official dimensions of the Pixel 9. This could be a difference in rounding or an actual change – but it would be something like slightly thicker back glass rather than anything major like a larger battery.

A more exciting change is that there is now a third lens on the visor – that alongside screen resolution (and panel type) was a major differentiator between the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro. We don’t know the type of cameras that are in either phone, of course, so the vanilla model might have to settle for more basic hardware. By the looks of it, the thermometer sensor will remain exclusive to the Pros, but that’s a minor loss for the vanilla model.

Moving on to the Google Pixel 10 Pro, it’s the same size as the vanilla 10. That means that it is 0.1mm thicker than the 9 Pro, which might or might not make a meaningful difference.

While both displays have 6.3” diagonals, that says nothing about their resolution. Chances are that we’re still looking at 1080p+ for the vanilla model and 1280p+ for the Pro.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL will measure 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5mm or 0.1mm shorter than the 9 Pro XL but the same thickness. This is with the same size 6.8” display as last year’s model.

Notice the mid-frame – it’s matte on the vanilla Pixel 10 and glossy on the two Pros. This was the case for the Pixel 9-series as well, apparently glossy is premium (other brands are guilty of this too).

The 10-series will bring a new chipset, the Tensor G5. More than just an iterative bump, this is supposed to be Google’s first custom chipset fabbed by TSMC instead of Samsung (perhaps with MediaTek’s help). Among other things, the G5 is supposed to enable 4K 60fps HDR video recording, up from 4K 30fps.

A new Pixel Sense assistant is supposed to launch alongside the Pixel 10 series as well. As for when that might happen, it might be sooner than expected – Android 16 is scheduled for release between April and June and the Pixel 10 series could follow soon after with an August launch (previous generations came out in October).
