The Sanctuary of Independent Media‘s Critical ‘Conversations’ is a series in which guest facilitators lead an intimate discussion on a critical issue of the moment (see specific themes and guests below). Attendees are welcomed to join the conversation in a constructive setting for the exchange of ideas.
April 10: Environmental Justice: Arbor Hill eco-activist and former President of the Sierra Club, Dr. Aaron Mair, will be welcomed back to the Sanctuary and in conversation with Sanctuary board member and environmental lawyer Eleanor Stein.
April 17: Protecting Trans Lives: with Cafe Euphoria, a transgender and gender non-conforming worker-owned and operated cafe, restaurant, and community space in Troy.
April 24: Immigrant Justice: with guests Columbia County Sanctuary Movement, which organizes immigrants and allies to collectively support, empower, and defend communities.
